Privacy Policy

1. Information we handle

• Optional free horoscope: With your explicit consent, we save your birth date, exact birth time, selected birthplace, coordinates and timezone in your member account so the same details are available in the app and website. Horoscope interpretations and account-linked AI usage counters may also be stored. This is separate from consultant-approved Daily Vastu Tips.
• Account and contact details: Sign-in identifiers, account ID, and details you provide, such as your name, email and phone number. Authentication is handled by Clerk; VastuSanyog does not keep your account password in its application database.
• Consultation activity: Selected services, cart contents, consultation request notes and status, saved-tip references, and profile preferences. Signed-in account records are stored on the service so they can be accessed on another device.
• App offer activity: If you choose to save the website-to-app discount, we store its claim date and usage status against your account so the same account can access the offer in the app and a one-time offer cannot be reused. Claiming an offer does not make a payment or automatically track an app installation.
• Photos, floor plans and documents: Images or files you choose to capture, import, analyse, back up or submit through available features. Private account backups are distinct from submissions to a consultant. Some original files and generated outlines may remain on your device.
• AI conversations: Questions you send, AI replies, timestamps, delivery or failure status, and account-linked usage counts. Chat history is saved so the service can show your conversation and enforce its reply limit.
• Photo-capture location: When foreground location access is granted, a new camera photo may be saved with a recent location fix taken after capture. It may not be the exact shutter location. Imported gallery files are not assigned the phone's current location. Location may identify a precise place.
• Device features and notifications: Compass or motion readings used by supported mapping features; permission/setup state; and, when remote notification registration is available, a device push token, platform and delivery status.
• Technical information: Hosting, authentication and service providers may process network information, such as IP address, browser or device details, request times, and operational/security logs. Website sign-in uses necessary session cookies.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, maintain your account, save and display your requests, provide consultation features, analyse images you choose to send to AI, answer your questions, provide approved daily tips, respond to support requests, protect the service and enforce reasonable usage limits.

We do not sell personal information or use your private floor-plan files for advertising. A consultation request is not proof of payment or a confirmed appointment.

3. Device permissions and location

Android controls permission requests. You can deny access, grant one-time access where supported, or revoke permission later in your phone settings. A feature that needs a denied permission may be limited; granting permission does not authorise unrelated use.

• Camera / selected photos and files: Used when you choose to capture or import an image or floor plan. The app does not need unrestricted access to all of your files.
• Foreground location: Used for supported photo-capture location features. There is no background location tracking. Capture coordinates are not included in the OpenAI image-analysis request. Recording a location and sharing it with a consultant are separate actions.
• Compass and motion: Used for direction and supported walking/mapping features. Sensor availability varies by phone; manual North entry remains available. AI does not determine true North from a photo.
• Notifications: Used for permitted tip reminders and available delivery features. Only consultant-approved tips should be notified. Remote delivery depends on the installed build and service configuration and is not guaranteed.
• Contacts: The current app does not read or upload your phone's address book.

4. Service providers and sharing

Horoscope-specific processing: Birthplace search uses reference data on our server; your search and birth details are not sent to an external geocoding provider. The India list is an extract of populated places and alternative names from GeoNames, used under CC BY 4.0. We select city, town and village records, normalize names for search, and display coordinates, district, state and timezone. This community-maintained reference may contain omissions or outdated labels. Other countries use the city-timezones dataset. Planetary positions are calculated on our server using Astronomy Engine. If you request an optional AI explanation, OpenAI receives only the calculated birth Moon sign and dated planetary snapshots, not your raw birth date, birth time, birthplace, coordinates, name or account ID. OpenAI's processing rules apply to that request.

• Clerk: Provides account authentication and session handling. Clerk privacy information.
• Cloudflare and hosting infrastructure: Cloudflare routes web traffic to our servers, and our own servers host application services, the account database and private backup files. Processing locations depend on the providers' infrastructure.
• OpenAI: Receives the question and relevant conversation context when you use AI chat, or the images and space description you submit for AI floor-map analysis. Image-analysis payloads are processed in application memory rather than saved as photo files by that endpoint. OpenAI's own retention and processing rules still apply. Do not send passwords, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information. OpenAI privacy information.
• The consultant: Information you choose to send in a consultation or support interaction may be used to respond to you. A private backup alone is not a consultant submission.
• WhatsApp / Meta: Opening WhatsApp is your choice. Information you send there is handled by WhatsApp and the recipient under their respective practices. Opening a draft does not send it automatically. WhatsApp privacy information.
• Optional payment, email and push providers: Razorpay, Resend and supported mobile push services may process transaction, recipient or device-delivery details when those features are configured and used. Current checkout and some remote notifications are unavailable; an attached integration alone does not establish that data has been sent.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. Third-party services may process data outside your country.

5. Storage and security

Online requests use HTTPS in the hosted service. Access to account records and private backup downloads is checked against the authenticated account. Cloud backup files and their metadata are stored separately; download links are short-lived. Necessary session information and device-local files may remain on your phone or browser.

We use access controls and other technical safeguards, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device and account secure and never send a password or one-time sign-in code to support.

6. Retention, account deletion and data removal

You can edit or delete optional horoscope birth details from the Free Daily Horoscope page. Deleting them removes the saved birth profile and cached AI horoscope text from the live service. Limited account-linked AI request counts, containing no birth details or interpretations, are retained separately to prevent abuse and enforce usage limits. Infrastructure backups may retain earlier records according to the storage provider's lifecycle; deletion from the live service is not a guarantee of immediate erasure from every backup. Use the account-deletion contact below to request removal of all eligible account data.

Account profiles, saved requests, AI conversations and private backups are retained to provide the service while the account is used. Account records currently have no fixed automatic expiry. You can request deletion instead of leaving the account inactive.

To request deletion of your VastuSanyog account and associated data, use the account deletion section on our Support page. This is a support-assisted request, not an instant-delete control. We may verify that the account belongs to you before processing it. Support will confirm the scope and expected completion time.

A full account-deletion request covers the sign-in account and associated profile, requests, saved-tip references, stored conversations, notification registrations and private cloud backups held by the service. You may also request removal of specific data without closing the whole account. Where a service provider holds relevant account data, deletion may require a request to that provider.

Deleting a cloud backup does not delete the original file on your phone. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not, by itself, delete the server account. Copies you have independently shared with a consultant or another service require separate attention.

If limited records must be retained for an applicable legal requirement, fraud prevention or a security dispute, we will explain the reason and relevant retention period when responding. Provider-managed backup copies may remain subject to the provider's retention and deletion processes.

7. Your choices and requests

You can update your contact profile, manage available private backups, change device permissions, sign out, or stop using optional AI and WhatsApp features. You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your data, subject to applicable law and appropriate identity verification.

Use Support for privacy questions. Do not post private room photographs, precise coordinates or account details in public social-media comments.

8. Children

VastuSanyog is a property-consultation service and is not designed for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorisation, contact us so we can investigate and address removal.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when features, providers or data-handling practices change. The updated date will appear at the top. Material changes that require additional disclosure or consent will be addressed before the relevant use.
